I work with the SRUC Centre for Epidemiology and Planetary Health (CEPH) and across several research groups at UHI Inverness. At CEPH I work on various data science related projects but focus on network analysis of animal movements. I am also responsible for building a range of shiny applications, ranging from the Epidemiology Resource Centre to internal applications that automate reporting (both interactive and static) for industry stakeholders. Full publication lists can be found on my ORCID and PURE profiles.
Aside from internal Shiny apps I have built several Shiny servers. Two run off RStudio’s open source Shiny server, whilst the other uses the alternative Shinyproxy hosting model - with docker containers to host the individual applications.
The two publicly available shiny servers are:
Whilst I have developed several packages for teaching and internal use, I have also built the satpoint package to extract data from netCDF files and I have forked a version of thesisdown specifically for the UHI - thesisdownrli.
The links below should take you to a selection of publications (articles/chapters) that I’ve been a part of. For a full list of peer-reviewed journal articles, please see my PURE profile.
